Military Brat Life Expanded

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

5-18-2010

Military Brat Life now offers over 100 essays and articles, providing a glimpse inside the world of U.S. Military Brats.

Military Brat Life was launched on June 15, 2009 and both preserves the Military Brat culture and offers the civilian public a glimpse into the day to day experiences of Military Brats spanning several generations.

“Recently I added several dozen articles which originally were published on Military Brats Online during the late 1990s,” said Vann Baker, creator and editor of Military Brat Life.

“Article and essay topics range from defining what makes a Military Brat to thoughts about living a life where you pack up your house and move every few years, to thoughts of all the friends left behind.”

Military Brat Life is an online magazine which encourages Military Brats of all ages and all branches of service to share their thoughts and experiences growing up on bases and posts in the U.S. and around the world.

“From the articles and essays I receive, it’s apparent that the Military Brat experience has a far-reaching impact on children and young adults. For the most part the experiences are seen as positive, but for some Military Brats the stress and strain of life on base and overseas can have a very negative impact on family life.”

Vann is also the creator of Military Brats Online, a community website dedicated to connecting and re-connecting Military Brats and is a lively social network.

Military Brat Life encourages writers of all ages to submit their work and accepts a wide range of new and previously published materials.

“My hope is for Military Brat Life to provide everyone who visits the website something new and different that they can relate to, and to provide civilians who may never set foot on a military installation a taste of what it is like to grow up behind the main gate,” said Vann.
